The Recruitment & Training process is divided into a few steps. It is very important that you understand how the recruitment system works, and that you do your best to stay active and updated during your recruitment/training phase! The steps are listed below:
STEP ONE: APPLICATION SUBMITTAL
During this stage, the applications will be listed as "open", and this is when you may initially submit your application to the Academy. Applications sent in when recruitment is set as "closed" will be automatically denied.
STEP TWO: APPLICATION REVIEW & NATIONAL CRIME INFORMATION CENTER RECORDS CHECK
Your application will be reviewed as soon as possible by either the Director or the Assistant Director of the Training & Recruitment Division. They will either give you instructions on how to improve your application in order to proceed, or perform an NCIC records check and clear your application for progress. They may also deny you, should there be reason for it (such as you not meeting the minimum requirements, or there being other factors hindering progress).
STEP THREE: POLICE OFFICER RIDE-ALONG
Once you have been cleared by the Director or Assistant Director, you will be given instructions on how to proceed with your department ride-along. Here, you will contact the LSPD in-game and arrange a ride-along, where your roleplay standards will be evaluated. It is important that you do your best to prove to the officer that you are a suitable roleplayer that is fit to be in the LSPD. The ride-along lasts for approximately 30-50 minutes.
STEP FOUR: ACCEPTANCE OR FINAL REVIEW
If all goes well during the ride-along, you will automatically be accepted when the FTO posts up the results on your application, and you will be given instructions on how to proceed. Should the FTO recommend you for denial, the application will be halted and will be reviewed by the Director or Assistant Director of T&R who will make a final decision.
Finally, if you need to contact a staff member of the Training & Recruitment division for any particular reason, use the information found below, but please ensure you read all available documents before sending a message to us, since the threads might answer your questions. If possible, please attempt to contact the assistant director prior to contacting the director.
